Vacant position - Lawyer

We are expanding and we are therefore looking to integrate another lawyer into our team, specializing primarily in property law, company law, inheritance law and general practice. This position is suitable for you if you are a trained lawyer and speak and write Spanish and English fluently, and an extra plus if you speak Swedish or any other Scandinavian Language.

Gonvel & Kamph is a Spanish law and tax firm. We are a full-service firm offering assistance to both individuals and companies in most areas of law. We have offices in Nueva Andalucia (Marbella) and also in Málaga. The Marbella office focuses particularly on Swedish clients and has extensive experience in helping Swedes with all issues that may arise in Spain, including the purchase and sale of properties and apartments, inheritance matters, tax advice, the purchase or formation of companies, contract drafting, tax returns, accounting, court proceedings, etc.

The role and responsibilities

You will work as a lawyer on-site at our office in Nueva Andalucia and assist other clients, mostly foreigners. You must be happy to work with many kinds of issues and general practice and will work closely with other colleagues with specialization in each respective area of law. The most common cases involve property transactions, inheritance issues, tax issues, company law and certain disputes.

Job description:

·       Provide legal advice and assisting clients with legal issues, especially property law, company law and inheritance law

·       Draft, review and negotiate agreements

·       Due diligence, legal investigations and reports

·       Attending notary meetings and signing of deeds

·       Keeping the clients continually updated on their file

·       Keep up to date with changes in applicate legislation and regulations

Requirements and qualifications:

·       Spanish law degree

·       We would prefer you to have some years of experience in qualified legal work, especially property law, with a strong knowledge of the local market and legal landscape.

·       You will work closely with other colleagues and departments on Spanish cases and must have good teamwork skills and be a team player

·       You must have very good language skills in at least Spanish and English, both spoken and written, Swedish or other Scandinavian language is a plus.

·       Good communication skills, both spoken and written. Service-minded

·       Comfortable working at a fast pace, flexible, meticulous and highly organised
